Wordless Wednesday on Tuesday

Because I won't be able to get to it later... Much studying to do (ack! I hate fill in tests!) and I'm coming down with something... so...

See more Wordless Wednesday by following the links in the Wordless Wednesday Blogroll in my sidebar (because I'm too lazy to link right now!)

Ok, when the wordless part of Wednesday is officially over, and you're feeling better, maybe you could tell us the story that goes with this lovely cross?

I hope you're not getting too sick. This is too nice a time of year to feel bad. And you're so busy!

Unfortunately I don't know the whole story behind it. It's at a place called Tlaquepaque in Sedona, Arizona. Sedona is my favorite place on earth, it's so beautiful there. Tlaquepaque is a Spanish style collection of artist shops and quaint stores. There's a small altar in one of the buildings, so I think it used to be a mission of some sort. The cross is in a courtyard there.

This picture was taken last August when I ran away from home. I left the kids at home with my oldest (who was 20 at the time) got a hotel room, and went to Sedona overnight. I hiked up to the top of a hill and spent some time with God. It was all very healing after the ordeal with my ex-husband. I was truly able to forgive him that day, and able to forgive myself. That was a big thing. Then I went to Tlaquepaque, had lunch, bought stuff for the kids, and headed home totally refreshed. I need to do that again :)

Sedona has a lot of new agey stuff, which I pretty much ignore because it's not what I believe. But if you ever get the chance to go there, it's simply breathtaking.

I do feel quite icky at the moment. Sore throat, stuffy nose, body aches... but, no time to be sick! I really don't know the information for one of tomorrow's tests, but I can't stress out about it because I'll get sicker. I'll look it all over again in the morning, and do my best. If I have to take it over, I have to take it over. It's not like we've had days and days to learn this stuff - this is stuff they taught us today and are testing tomorrow.

beautiful pix! you are an amazing person... 5 kids and a 911 operator... that's got to be a daily struggle! i can see why your faith in God keeps you going! you're surrounded by a lot of activity with your kids and a lot of negative activity with your job! my hubby is a deputy so i get to hear all the 'good stuff'... good for me to hear becuase it's not my job! God bless you and hopefully you do get the time to get away again and refresh your mind and soul!!!! :)

I've only been to Sedona once but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I like the depth in your picture and the slightly wide angle feel to the perspective! Clever.
