This is a very special picture!

Reading your profile, single mom with five kids? I'm glad you have God, too. I don't know how I'd handle my boys w/o God. ;)

I've posted my Wordless Wednesday, too. Enjoy!

It makes think about when God stretches out His hands to us and we take a hold of His mighty hand.

Good grief...40 comments? I almost didn't bother leaving this.

But it is a precious picture and I was wondering if you took it?

Connie said...

LOL! Yes Julie, I did take it! This might be my most favorite picture that I've ever taken. It's also been the most profitable. This picture won about $750 in an online photo contest back in 1997. Taking it was a bear - it was a manual focus camera, so trying to get it in focus at that close range was a challenge. And then after I snapped the picture i realized that one of my kids had been messing with the camera and there were finger prints all over the filter over the lens! So, oh well, I cleaned it off and took other pictures. Well, surprise surprise, the fingerprints ADDED to the picture, I think, by giving it a softer look. Just another example of my dumb luck with a camera :)

Priceless. I just love this photo. No dumb luck here at all...this is poetry.

Happy WW...a day late.

Julie said...

Wow, what a story. That's great that it's actually earned you some money. What a beautiful photo.

Was it one of YOUR babies? I'm not trying to be excessively nosey, just curious!

Connie said...

Yep, it's mah behbeh! And my very own hand :P

It's my 9 year old, so ummm, her hands aren't quite that small anymore!
