On the Bright Side...

I've got a one week vacation scheduled for the end of April, beggining of May, and the kids are off school that week too. So..... Where should we go? What should we do? I was thinking Disneyland, but the 17 year old is going there with his school right around the same time. Any suggestions?

Well, D-land is the place of choice, but if you don't want to do double duty and you guys are into movies . . . how about Universal Studio? I found it fun. Still, D-land is a place you can visit over and over and not grow tired of.

Well, I'm a mountain girl, myself. I'd take the kids, go hiking & enjoy the gorgeous views. Throw in a few campfires, maybe some fishing (which I'm not wild about but most kids love) and maybe even some horseback riding, and hey, it's a great vacation!

I think Disneyland sounds like a lot of fun. I have never been with the kids, but would love to take them someday.

I vote for camping in Yosemite! One of the most beautiful places out west. You are truely awed by God's magnificent creation.

Speaking as one who grew up waay too close to D-land, its really comercialized. Be prepared to spend! But if the kids have never been, it is truely an overwelming experience everyone should do at least once. :) Stay a day or two to make it worth it though!
